About PoppyPink

PoppyPink is a minimalist performance piece set in Central Park, New York, marking the one-year memorial of October 7th. This powerful work is designed to raise awareness of the Israeli hostage crisis and advocate for human rights. The performance centers around an unraveling dress, symbolizing the suffering and tragedy faced by the innocent hostages.
We pray for the safe return of the hostages and for peace in the Middle East and the world.

PoppyPink dress will be displayed at the Jewish Museum in New York for 2 days only! Oct 24-25. During this time, visitors are invited to express their solidarity, offer prayers, and engage with the project. Crafted by acclaimed fashion designer Haya Nir, known for her iconic boutique "Katomenta" and her volunteer work with “Ayin Tova,” which supports evacuees from October 7th, this pink dress embodies resilience, hope, and healing. It is composed of 2,530 feet of knitted yarn, representing the 253 people abducted from Israel to the Gaza Strip.
